myMONSTER - Telco Communicator Suite

After one year release of the MONSTER framework and successful deployment within international test beds, it is now time to widen our horizon with tight integration to WEB and IPTV. The MONSTER framework has been integrated into a unified software toolkit called myMONSTER (www.mymonster.org).

myMONSTER is the base for a number of prototype applications developed at Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS and includes software packages for creating  applications for Telecommunication, Web and IPTV domains.

Upcoming Demo Case

Prototype applications from the myMONSTER toolkit will be one of the demo highlights on the upcoming 5th Intenational FOKUS IMS Workshop. Telco Communicator Suite (formerly known as MONSTER) – TCS

A portable client framework for unified communication and real-time media delivery for Telco services comprising of:

• base telecommunication functionalities (presence, messaging, multimedia telephony, chat, GLM, etc.) from the formal  MONSTER framework
• add-ons for peer-2-peer content delivery,
• add-ons  for client emergency service functionalities for  NGN networks
• add-ons Always Best Connected (ABC) services for Evolved Packet Core networks

Mobile Web Runtime 2

An extension of Web browsers with new functionalities for web and widget application development comprising of:

• Device capability access (such as Camera and GPS) from web and widget application
• Video streaming and Synchronization

Rich Internet Application  IPTV – RIA IPTV

A web-based interactive TV platform with comprising of:

• Live multicast TV
• Community quiz shows
• Smart Recommendation  Engine
• Intelligent program guides
• Service bundles from TCS for Telco communication
